We have been learning to tell the time. We had to show the time on the clock we made and take a photo. Here is my time.  

Pirate Coding

Today we have been learning pirate coding. and I made a pirate and the pirate had to make its way to the treasure chest and had to doge the bombs and I made a christmas theme and the dabing santa had to get through the Grinch to get to the finish and here is my slides.

What it will look like in 100 years in the future

We have been doing what it will look like in 100 years back  in the future here is my writing.

In the future

If I was in the future I  would have a flying school bus and a hover board and a hand computer and 3D tvs all over the school.  A flying car all over the place and I would have a robot butler and he would always give me a floating board to school and when we have a movie at school my teacher Mrss sam dose all the clean all the rubbish on the floor. And we have no homework. And I don't have to catch the bus cuz I have my hoverboard to fly home. My next teacher is Miss Bumblecrab and we all laugh out loud as we all get tiger detention and it is quite sour. But it is fine and my next class Is the ocean is the best and it is so cool we get to pat and play with them and we are not aloud to go to the flying Sharks cage, Otherwise we will die but I am going to forget it I am playing with the flying Dolphins.  And they are fine I get to play the flying balls with them I am done all my class’s and it is time to go home and it is time to call my hoverboard.

Vaseline Saucers

 A couple of weeks ago we did a Symmetrical Vaseline  saucer. The best thing I like is the flowers and I used symmetry to help me with it. I liked how I almost made it symmetrical and here is my photo.

Christmas tree

Today Team Awa were making a Christmas poem. Firstly we sketched a Christmas tree. Then we wrote a poem on our chrome books. Here is my poem and sketch I did.

Art

This term we have completed two pieces of art.

One was inspired by an artist named Kadinsky who used coloured circles in his work. We looked at the contrast between warm and cool colours and the black and white of the buildings.

Our second piece was using the Maori words we have learnt and using these to create a visual picture. The words become the shape of the picture.

Some things I did well was on the background and making the circles.

I could improve on are spelling of the Maori words correctly.

Basic Facts Test Term three

Yesterday on Tuesday we did a basic facts test and we only had 3 minutes to fill one of the sides and then the other side. I need to get faster so I can fill out the whole sheet. I need to work on finishing Stage 4 so I can be on Stage 5 for basic facts.

Thinglink about rubbish

We have been learning to use thinglink. I made a thinglink about saving the world from rubbish. 

Kauri tree art

1.  What I did to make this tree is grab a tall piece of paper. Grab a white crayon and blue dye. Paint a background on the paper with the dye. But first you need to make clouds with the crayon then let it dry.
2.  Second grab a blank paper then paint it green, brown and yellow. Then let it dry.
3.  You paint the trunk with your finger - black, white, brown, green.
4. Glue the trunk on to the blue paper
5. Then with the green brown yellow paper rip it into small leaves.
6. Then you put the ripped paper on the  top of the trunk. 
7. For the ground layer you can use green yellow brown and paint with your finger.
8. Then you write about how to save kauri trees.
9. Then you will be done

Garden to Table

Each week we go to Garden to Table and we are either in the kitchen cooking or in the garden weeding,planting or watering. I like to weed the gardens.

ASB getwise

On Wednesday we had Marlon from ASB Get wise talking to us about saving our money, spending money on needs not wants and using invisible money ie eftpos. I have made a google draw to show what I have learnt.

Animal town

This week we have used another picture as motivation for our writing. We had a story starter and then
we had to carry on the story.

What I like about my writing is the characters.

I need to improve on my spelling.

Whoo! Animal Town yay!!  Hi my name is Foxy and I live in Canada. Look at my hotel room and my friends are coming over they are Piata, and Sienna B . We can't wait. There’s going to be a sheriff's office. It's time for move we can not wait. "Grab some water,” said Piata. In the morning we can feed the duck’s. Yay time to get up. It’s morning time to get up and get dressed. "Look at the sherrif’s offices," said Foxy. "Look at Paige the bird sing," said Foxy. "Cool," said Piata. Come on I want to see the ducks. I can't wait any more longer. I just want to feed the little ducks. Wow that was a crazy day, let's go back to the hotel and get some lunch. "Mac and cheese yay!" Said all of us.

I am good at forming my capital letters correctly. I need to get better at sitting my letters on the line.

We have been learning to do golf.

I liked when Mister Golf had to do ten press ups .

Hot air balloons

This week we have used a picture as motivation for our writing. We had a story starter and then we had to carry on the story. What I like about my writing is I am learning how to use commas. I need to finish my stories. We also made a google draw showing the things that we would take with us in our hot air balloon.

Hot air balloon race

The racing  is about to start I can't wait to try out on my new
amazing hot air balloon. Kaira and I are going to have so much
fun .I feel so scared. Away we go! I see fluffy clouds in the sky.

I bought too big packs of water, two big packs of marshmallows,
two packs of pizza and one pack of carrots. I brought a gas fire,
a little mattress and two big blankets. A warm jacket if the hot
air balloon stops. I'll bring a kite too. Oh  I'm on  the night shift.
Away we go! I hear birds chirping by my amazing hot air balloon.
I hear people cheering for us.

The Pou

As part of our writing programme we have been doing environmental writing. We had to sketch an object and as we were sketching we wrote down thoughts that we had. Then we wrote our thoughts down  as a poem. We cut out the sketch and added this to our writing.

ANZAC Writing

This week we have been learning about ANZAC day. Here is the letter I wrote pretending I was at War.

We have been learning to form our letters correctly and to use capital letters in the correct place.I am getting better at forming my letters correctly .I need to get better at siting my letters are the correct height.

We have been working on using different art techniques to draw our faces. We have used sketching pencils to sketch our faces, making sure we made our facial features an accurate shape, size and putting them in the correct places.

We learnt about Picasso’s style and made our own funky Picasso portraits.

Swimming

We have been working swimmer by learning how to be a safe swimmer. We learnt that we should always swim with an adult and to always wear a life jacket when we are on a boat. At our swimming lessons we have learnt how to float, kick, glide and use rainbow arms and we are still learning to breathe correctly.

Garden to Table

I like Garden to Table because we get to learn to use sharp knives and learn to be responsible with the knife.
